Raytheon 8TP4, Red, 1955
"Transistorized Portable", Red Genuine Top Grain Cowhide with black trim and
gold tone grille. It is Raytheon's first transistor radio and the world's second
manufactured transistor radio.
7 transistors: CK759, CK760, CK760, CK721, CK721, CK721, CK721, 1 diode: CK706A. Chassis 7RT1 (Type 3).
Uses four 1.5 volt "D" batteries. Cabinet is stamped "Jun 15 1955".
The first model had 8 transistors and chassis 8RT1.
