Radios Emerson 849, 1955 Rare purple 6 transistor radio with a gold lam� case. Emerson's first pocket transistor radio. Chassis 120324. Hand wired metal chassis with socketed transistors. Uses an Energizer-Eveready 226 battery. The purple color was not listed in the dealer literature. Emerson's first transistor radio, model 842 was in a large leather case.
