Silvertone 1727
Silvertone 1727, c. 1933
TRF Cathedral radio manufactured by Clinton Manufacturing Company, Chicago, Illinois. Tubes: 58, 58, 57, 47, 80. This model was identified by its schematic in the 1937 Sears factory manual, which says it was made by Corona Radio and Television Co., who apparently bought radios from Clinton. The schematic is dated 12-15-33. This cabinet is similar to 2 cabinet styles of model 1706 as seen in the 1933 Sears and Roebuck catalog and books by Mark V. Stein, but they are Superheterodyne and the knob placement is different on each version.
