Collins 75S-1, 1961
First receiver of the famous S-line, made from 1958 to 1961. The 32S-1 transmitter makes it a pair. AM/SSB/CW modes. Covers the 80 - 10 meter amateur bands in 14 200 KHz segmemnts. Has Waters Manufacturing Q-Multiplier/Notch Filter Model 337-75S-1 installed. AF gain is combined with RF gain, rejection tuning is where AF gain control would be. 10 tubes: 6DC6, 6U8A, 6U8A, 6BA6, 6BA6, 6U8A, 6AT6, 6BF5, 6DC6, 6AU6 plus a 12AX7 tube in the Q-Multiplier. With its legendary Collins mechanical filter, this unit has performance comparable to today's rigs, with fewer of the fancy newer features.
