Collins KWM-2A, 1963
Made from 1959 to 1982. Covers the 80 - 10 meter HAM bands. The second crystal
board gives it a total of 28 200 kHz band segments in the 3.4 - 30 MHz range. 18
tubes: 6AZ8, 6U8A, 6AZ8, 6AZ8, 12AT7, 12AT7, 6DC6, 6CL6, 6146A, 6146A, 6U8A,
6U8A, 6U8A, 6BN8, 6BN8, 6EB8, 6BN8, 6AU6. The pair of 6146 transmit tubes
provide about 100 watts output. With its legendary Collins mechanical filter,
this unit has performance comparable to today's rigs, just without the fancy
newer features. Needs an external power supply such as the 516F-2, the PM-2 which attaches to
the back, or the MP-1 12 volt mobile power supply.

Here it is with a
516F-2 power supply/speaker.
